滑鼠蛇肠道大小和组织学参数的增龄变化

摘要:
为探究蛇类肠道功能建立过程,采用形态测量和苏木精-伊红染色法,测定了出壳后3、7~10、20、30、40和50 d滑鼠蛇(Ptyas mucosus)肠道大小及组织学参数的变化。结果显示:(1)小肠、大肠的湿重和长度指数40和/或50日龄组最高,3和/或7~10日龄组最低(P<0.05)。(2)小肠前段和中段的直径、肌层厚度、绒毛高度和柱状上皮细胞长径7~10日龄组最低,此后随日龄增加(P<0.05);小肠后段直径50日龄组高于30日龄组(P<0.05),其他组织学参数无明显变化(P>0.05)。(3)大肠直径和肌层厚度50日龄组分别高于3、3和7~10日龄组(P<0.05),其他参数无日龄差异(P>0.05)。50日龄前滑鼠蛇肠道大小和多项组织学参数具有可塑性,幼蛇的消化吸收功能尚未发育完善,建议投喂易于消化的食物。

Age-related variations of intestinal size and histological parameters in Ptyas mucocus

Abstract:
To explore intestinal function establishment processes in snakes, by using of morphological measurements and hematoxylin-eosin staining methods, the variations of intestinal size and histological parameters were measured for 3, 7-10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 day age groups after birth in oriental ratsnakes, Ptyas mucosus. The results showed that: (1) The wet mass and length indices of small intestine (SI) and large intestine (LI) reached the peak at the 40 and/or 50 day age groups, lowest at the 3 and/or 7-10 day age groups (P<0.05); (2) The diameter, muscularis externa width, villus height, and enterocyte height in the anterior and middle segments of SI reached the lowest values at the 7-10 day age group, then was greatly increased with day ages (P<0.05); The diameter in the posterior segment of SI was significantly higher at the 50 day age group than that of the 30 day age group (P<0.05), but not for any other histological parameter (P>0.05). (3) Both the diameter and muscularis externa width of LI showed the highest values at the 50 day age group, and lowest at the 3 or 3 and 7~10 day age groups, respectively (P<0.05), but no significant differences were found for the other histological parameters (P>0.05). Within postembryonic 50 day age periods, both intestinal size and multiple histological parameters displayed plasticity, feeding juvenile snakes with easily digestible food should be preferentially considered because the intestinal digestion and absorption function has not been well developed before 50 days of age in oriental ratsnakes.
