LXRα基因3′-UTR多态对生长和肉质性状的影响

摘要:
肝X受体α(LXRα)在动物生命代谢活动中起着重要的调控作用,对动物的生长和肉质有重要影响。采用PCR-SSCP法和DNA直接测序相结合检测LXRα基因3′-UTR多态,并分析其多态性对鸭生长和肉质性状的影响。结果发现,3′-UTR存在1396 C>G突变,三穗鸭和兴义鸭群体中产生3种基因型CC、CG和GG,樱桃谷鸭群体中仅检测到CC基因型;关联分析结果显示,1396 C>G突变对鸭的胸深、胫长和胸肌剪切力值有显著影响,G等位基因是生长性状的有利等位基因,可能作为提高鸭生长性状的一个标记性辅助选择位点。

Polymorphism of LXRα gene 3′-UTR affects duck growth and meat quality

Abstract:
Liver X receptor alpha (LXRα) plays an important role in animal life and metabolic activity and influences the animal growth and meat quality. The polymorphism of LXRα gene 3′-UTR was detected using PCR-SSCP and DNA direct sequencing method and its effect on duck growth and meat quality was analyzed. A 1396 C>G mutation in 3′-UTR was detected. This mutation resulted in three genotypes of CC, CG and GG in Xingyi duck and Sansui duck and one CC genotype in Cherry Valley duck. Correlation analysis showed that the 1396 C>G mutation had a significant effect on duck breast depth, shank length, and shear force, indicating that G allele may benefit duck growth and might have potential to be a maker for selection of improved growth traits in ducks.
