两点间曲面距离计算模型及应用

摘要:
针对北京——底特律飞越北极新航线的开通而提出的实际问题,分别对球体和旋转椭球体情况进行讨论,根据数学上的可近似原理,建立了两点间曲面距离计算模型,并将此算法推广到最短航线的找出,从而解释了新航线节约4h左右的原因。

Abstract:
This essay focuses on the practical problems arising from the opening of the new air route between Beijing and Detroit, which goes over the North Pole. It has discussed the different conditions of a globe and a spinning ellipsoid. According to the Approximation theory, it has established a mathematical model with which one can figure out the distance of a curved surface between two points. The author introduces this calculation method for finding out the shortest air route, so it explains why this new air route can save almost 4 flight hours.
