Abstract: |
This paper deals with the dimensional stability of wood of three species, Pinus massoniana,Ouercus acutissima Carr, and Alnus rabeculosa Hand-Mazz, treated with Polyethylene glycol(PEG). The optimum treatment condition was gained from the experiment. The dimensional sta-bility of wood treated with PEG was satisfactory, after a period of natural storage and the anti-shrink efficiency of treated wood reached than 80% and the decay resistance was also raised. |
