Abstract:Inflammatory bowel disease is a group of chronic gastrointestinal inflammatory disease, and its clinical manifestations are bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and even occasionally bloody stools. Currently, many drugs are available for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, such as aminosalicylates, corticosteroids and immunosuppressants. These drugs can reduce or alleviate the occurrence and development of inflammatory bowel disease, but certain toxic side effects may develop in some patients after long-term use. In recent years, studies have found that many natural products have obvious anti-inflammatory effects, which can reduce the recurrence rate of inflammatory bowel disease and improve the safety of treatment. This article systematically summarized the anti-inflammatory properties of several natural products derived from plants, animals and microorganisms.
