The evaluation index system of Wuhu city's land resource carrying capacity was constructed from four aspects of economic carrying capacity, social carrying capacity, ecological environment carrying capacity and soil and water carrying capacity. The results showed that the carrying capacity of land resources in Wuhu city from 2008 to 2017 has undergone a development process from a low level to a higher level. Among them, the increase of economic carrying capacity contributes the most to the carrying capacity of land resources in Wuhu city, and the ecological carrying capacity was the main factor restricting the overall development of Wuhu city. It is necessary to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization and adjust the industrial structure of Wuhu city to improve the bearing capacity of land resources.
