Abstract:In order to explore the effect of temperature on seed germination and seedling growth of Qiongzhuea tumidinoda bamboo, we took Q. tumidinoda bamboo seed as the test material, and set up a total of 8 temperature gradients from 16℃ to 30℃ for seed germination test. The results showed that temperature had a significant effect on the seed germination and seedling growth of Q. tumidinoda. With the increase of temperature, the seed germination rate increased firstly and then decreased. The germination rate was the highest (79.44%) at 20°C. There was no significant difference in seed germination rate between 20°C and 24°C, which was the optimum temperature range for the seed germination of Q. tumidinoda. The growth rate of seedlings increased firstly and then decreased, it growing fastest at 24℃,and there was no significant difference in seedling growth height and radicle growth length at 24℃ and 26℃, which was the optimum temperature range for the growth of seedlings of Q. tumidinoda. Too high or too low temperature would inhibit the seed germination and seedling growth of Q. tumidinoda.
