Abstract:Through three years of survey, five superior individual Sapium sebiferum trees (eg. Hefei No.6, Jinzhai No.4, Jinzhai No.5, Yixian No.4 and Yixian No.5) were selected in Dabieshan mountain area and southern mountainous area in Anhui Province. All five superior individuals showed fine quality and strong stress resistance. The proportion of fruit bearing shoot,?mass of 1000-grain and other quantitative indicators of the five trees were seldom influenced by the environment factors. The economic traits were as follows: 1000-grain weight ≥153 g; the grain oil content ≥43.5%; the proportion of fruit bearing shoot≥80%. These traits met the standards of superior individual trees. The correlation among economic traits of the superior trees was analyzed. The results showed that seed production per crown was positively related to the seed number of single infructescence, leaf shape index, 1000-grain weight and the proportion of fruit bearing shoot. The oil content in the hull was negatively correlated with the oil content in the seed with a significant difference among individual trees.
