Abstract:Pestalotiopsis-like fungi are important pathogens of Camellia oleifera, causing diseases and damages. Morphology combined with the molecular phylogenetic analysis of three genes (ITS+TUB+TEF) were used to identify six strains of Pestalotiopsis-like fungi, which isolated from the leaf of Camellia oleifera in Miaoshou Forest Farm, Jingde County, Anhui Province. The results showed that there were six strains belonging to four species of Pestalotiopsis-like fungi. The known specie of Pestalotiopsis chamaeropis was firstly reported on Camellia oleifera. Due to the lack of sufficient strains, the other strains were described as phylogenetic species. The results indicated that there might be many undescribed species of Pestalotiopsis-like fungi on Camellia oleifera. Thus, a comprehensive and systematic investigation on the Pestalotiopsis-like fungi of Camellia oleifera in China is necessary for disease control and resistance breeding of Camellia oleifera.
