Abstract:In order to enhance the development level of the high quality tobacco, the sensory evaluation method was used to analyze the style and characteristics of the flue-cured tobacco from Guiyang county in 2011-2013. The results were as follows: (1) A strong flavor was prominent in the flue-cured tobacco from Guiyang county, with the hay-flavor scent, sweet aroma, burnt aroma, wood flavor, nutty aroma, pure-sweetness aroma and spicy flavor as principal notes, particularly sweet aroma; the motion state of aroma was overflow with a slight larger concentration and strength. (2) Significant differences in the scale of flavor style, sweet aroma, wood aroma and spicy flavor between different leaf positions; however, the flavor style, note kinds and motion state of aroma were similar. (3) The style and characteristics of the flue-cured tobacco from Guiyang county were consistent in different years and different towns. (4) The flavor style, note kinds and motion state of aroma of the flue-cured tobacco from Guiyang county were similar to those from Zimbabwe, but the performance of style and characteristics was weaker compared to those from Zimbabwe and stronger than those from other strong flavor type tobacco-growing areas in Hunan Province.
