Abstract:Various components in four samples of Ophiocordyceps formosana artificial cultures, i.e., flask culture mycelia, fermentative mycelia, solid culture fruiting bodies, and the culture media, were determined. The result showed that the contents of crude fat and polysaccharides were similar in flask culture mycelia and fermentative mycelia, higher than those in fruiting bodies. The content of crude protein was high and similar in flask culture mycelia, fermentative mycelia, and fruiting bodies. The contents of mannitol (3.41mg·g-1) and cytidine (2.44 mg·g-1) were highest in fermentative mycelia and ergosterol (6.75 mg·g-1) was highest in fruiting bodies. The content of adenosine was 1.57 mg·g-1 in flask culture mycelia, 1.32 mg·g-1 in fruiting bodies, 0.96 mg·g-1 in fermentative mycelia, and 0.61 mg·g-1 in solid culture residues. The contents of macro-elements Ca and Mg were high in flask culture mycelia (3.30×102, 3.98×103 μg·g-1), fermentative mycelia (6.71×102, 3.00×103 μg·g-1), and fruiting bodies (1.51×103, 3.2×103 μg·g-1). The contents of micro-elements Zn and Cu were highest in fruiting bodies and Fe, Mn, Ni and Se were highest in fermentative mycelia. The contents of As and Cd in flask culture mycelia and As in fermentative mycelia were lower than 0.20 μg·g-1. The content of Pb in fruiting bodies was too low to be detected.
