Abstract:Taken cutover land of a Cunninghamia Lanceolata stand as the research object, soil organic carbon in upper, middle and lower slope positions, 0-20 cm, 20-40 cm and 40-60 cm soil layers was studied. The results showed that soil organic carbon content in all soil layers was in the order of lower slope > middle slope > upper slope, and it decreased with increasing soil depth at each slope. The order of the soil organic carbon density was lower slope > middle slope> upper slope, and it decreased with increasing soil depth at each slope. The soil organic carbon density of 0-20 cm soil layer was 1.37 times and 1.78 times of 20-40 cm and 40-60 cm soil layers, respectively.
