Abstract:In this study, morphological characters of 138 Solid Red were analyzed and discriminant equations were built. The analysis of the morphological index system of Solid Red with Principal Components and R-cluster, and the results indicated that Solid Red could be classified by "body size, width of head " and "length and width of fin". The results of 21standardization characteristics both indicated that there was no significant difference. The discriminant equations were built based on 21 standardization characteristics and the accuracy rate was 80.2%. Furthermore, the others Solid Red were also classified by this model and the success rate was 84.4%.
