One hundred and twelve pigs from Wannan Black population were used for detecting the polymorphism of CETP gene by PCR-SSCP method. The results show as follows. (1) C>T mutation (C795T) occurred in 795 base position of intron 1; (2) Three genotypes (CC, CT and TT) were found in C795T site, genotypic frequency of CC, CT and TT was 0.6250, 0.3036 and 0.0714, respectively, gene frequency of C and T was 0.7768 and 0.2232, respectively; (3) The polymorphism information content (PIC) was 0.2866 in Wannan Black population, which indicated it was moderate polymorphism. The χ² value was 1.7388, which was in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in Wannan Black population (P>0. 05).
