Abstract:A method for determination of flumethrin residues in honey by using HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) has been developed and validated. The sample was extracted from honey by the mix extractions of n-hexane and dichloromethane (4:6,V/V), concentrated by rotary evaporator, purified by HLB SPE cartridge, and detected at a wavelength of 267 nm. The pre-treatment conditions were optimized in order to decrease the matrix interference. The detection limit for flumethrin was 0.005 mg·kg-1. The average recoveries for flumethrin were between 80.8% and 96.8%. Coefficients of variation ranged from 0.6% to 1.5%. The method has good repeatability and high sensitivity, and can be applied for the determination of flumethrin residues in the honey.
