Abstract:BLT101 family, a kind of conserved low molecular protein sublocalized in plasma membrane, play important roles in cold acclimation, drought tolerance and abscisic acid (ABA) response in plant. By PCR method, a Dvblt101 gene and its’ promoter were cloned from Dasypyrum villosum, a closely relative to common wheat. Dvblt101 cDNA is 422 bp in length with an open reading frame (ORF) encoding 54 amino acid residues, which contains two conserved transmembrane domains. The genomic DNA of Dvblt101 gene is 754 bp in length with two extrons and one intron. In the promoter region, two DRE/CRT, two MYC-binding sites and three ABA response elements (ABRE) are predicted. Dvblt101 gene of D. villosum might be widely response to low temperature, drought, ABA and other abiotic stresses. These results could contribute to the understanding of abiotic stress tolerance mechanism in D. villosum.
