Cordyceps longissima Kobayasi, collected from Huoshan county of Anhui province, was reported as a new record in China. A species of Hirsutella isolated from C. longissima was determined to be its anamorph. The typical characteristics of the fungus were described. Some immature stromata formed on artificial culture. Their shape and color were similar to those of natural stromata.
