Meaningful variations appearing in cotton breeding by ion im plantation method were analysed in this paper to investigate the mutagenesis effect on ion implantation. The obtained variations included the characters of early maturity,plant shape,main-stem height and thickness,and etc. Speed-up of character stabi lity occured to hybrid from Gossypium hirsutum L. and Gossypium barbadense L..
