Ecological distribution of plant type of 41 high yield wheat cultivars grown in Huang-Huai valley winter wheat region, northern winter wheat region, northern spring wheat region and northwestern spring wheat region was studied using principal components analysis and fuzzy cluster analysis. It was discovered that plant type of high yield wheat cultivars in the north of China was adaoptive to respective ecological distribution, and was possible to be classified into plain and plateau types.
